The telescope that will work as a time machine!

When we say telescope everyone has this only picture in the mind –

But telescopes are not only used on the earth, but in space too. In fact, we get a more clear and effective view of space when it’s taken from a space telescope than any telescope on the earth. This is one of the telescopes situated on the earth's surface.

On the earth, we have a dense atmosphere with various components and gases as well as polluted air which blocks the view of outer space. The other problem is light pollution.

Due to large cities and urban areas we have lots of bright light in the sky which makes celestial objects blur. So we didn’t get clear and exact images of the celestial object as it is. So, to solve this problem, many decades ago humans launched space telescopes that are orbiting the earth, outside its atmosphere. When we don’t have any light and air pollution we can easily get pictures of the stars and galaxies.

NASA launched HUBBLE space TELESCOPE on April 24, 1990, in space. It was the first telescope in space. It's about the size of a large school bus.

When we talk about seeing space, there are many wavelengths in the universe through which we can access the secrets of the universe. This picture shows the types of wavelengths. The point here is, Hubble telescope was designed to read not only visible light but also ultraviolet light and near-infrared light which human eyes cannot see.

But JAMES WEB SPACE TELESCOPE can also see visible lights, mid-infrared lights but more efficient than the Hubble telescope.

Due to this, James web can see 12.7 billion years old ‘light’ that existed after the big bang. It can see the earliest formation of the beautiful stars and the planets. Which will open the doors for the exploration of the space which existed before our birth.

Let's talk about the structure and the materials. It has a 6.5-meter primary mirror. 18 separate mirrors that fold like an origami piece of art. These mirrors are made of beryllium metal which is coated with pure gold. isn’t that great? Gold is best for temperatures and the other conditions in space than other metals.

Another interesting fact is the sun shield behind the mirrors is so effective that it keeps the sun’s heat away from the telescope and maintains the temperature of -187 degrees. No matter how hot it is behind the telescope this sun shield will maintain the same temperature.

The telescope gets its power from the solar panels joined to it. It has infrared cameras, and other sensitive instruments to capture the images and send them back to the earth.

Web telescope will revolve around earth at a distance of a 1.5million km, which is beyond the moon. The lifespan of the telescope is more than 10 years. It would take 8-10 months for the telescope to reach the required orbit away from the earth.

Concluding, I would like to say that, this telescope is going to reveal many secrets not only about our solar system but about our whole galaxy. This will let us know, was there any intelligent life before us? pieces of evidence about the birth of the universe? And so many unsolved mysteries in the field of astronomy.

Coming to the interesting title, This telescope will exactly work like a time machine. Yes, it's true! for example, the light we currently see from the 'north star' was actually emitted in the year 1583. So basically the distance is so large that even light takes more than 500 years to reach us. The same applies to the James space telescope, which can see the stars in their past state, and not how they are today. In this way, we can know the initial stage of any star, nebulae, and even the whole universe.

The launch of this telescope is scheduled for the 22nd of December 2021. I recommend not to miss this chance to see this telescope flying on the rocket. The telescope is going to be folded like a paper piece and fit into the rocket. This has never happened before except for solar panels. The whole unfolding process will take place in the space itself.

If this mission goes as planned, Not only for American(NASA) and European(ESA) countries engaged in this mission will be proud but it will benefit the whole human community on the earth.

So humans let's cross our fingers and hope for the best to come out. Let me know in the comments what you think about the mission.
